Suranimala Rajapaksha

Suranimala Rajapaksha (Sinhala:සුරනිමල රාජපක්ෂ) is a Sri Lankan politician (born in 1949). Rajapaksha was first elected to the Parliament of Sri Lanka in 1994 and he was the Minister of School Education in Republic Socialist of Sri Lanka in 2001 to 2004. He is a member of the United National Party (UNP) and a member of UNP Working Committee.
He was appointed as the Coordinating secretary to the Prime Minister Hon.Ranil Wickremasinghe on 27 January 2015.
==Early life==

He was born to Mr. Saranelis Rajapaksha and Mrs. D.P. Rajapaksha Hamine. Mr. Saranelis Rajapksha was a well-respected land owner in the village called Samanabeddha in Gampaha District. He is the youngest son in a family of 3. In 1983 he married Chandani Jayakodi, who is the eldest daughter of a well-known businessman Mr. D. Jayakody and Mrs. P. Jayakody in Kadawatha. Rajapaksha has a daughter (Dr.Sanjeewani Rajapaksha) and a son (Kanishka Rajapaksha). Mrs. Rajapaksha's youngest sister married Sunil Gunawardena, owner of the NIKADO (one of Sri Lanka's leading food manufacturing companies) group of company.
